If your child is serious about acting, let them be coached by someone who has made acting their life passion and has a proud history to demonstrate their talent.  All of our teachers and staff have been involved in our company for years, and our enthusiasm for the arts is contagious!  We are proud to share our experience with the families within our theater and our community.
 
Our schedule of 2-week Summer Drama Camps include your child's preparation and production of:
 
          June 4-15:         Alice in Wonderland
          June 18-29:      The Wizard of Oz
          July 9-20:          Best of Grease
          July 23-Aug. 3:  Peter Pan
 
Summer Camp hours are 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. with early drop-off available at 8:00 a.m. and extended pick-up through 6:00 p.m.  Bring your child's lunch, a refrigerator and microwave are available, and we provide drinks and snacks. 
 
Tuition for each 2-week Summer Drama Camp is $300, extended hours are $5 per day, and reservations are now being taken.  We look forward to discovering and developing your child's acting strength, which can be an important addition to their confidence and their future in the arts!

The Atlanta Workshop Players

Hundreds of students gather from five continents to share their talents and be inspired by internationally known master teachers. The students of the Atlanta Workshop Players sing, dance, and act for stage and screen. Advanced performers audition for top agents and casting directors.
Students see shows, have recreational activities and make life-long friends! Residential camp held at Brenau University in Gainesville; Day camp held at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta; Beginner thru professional levels, ages 7-18.

Camp Invention

Camp Invention - Summer Camp in Atlanta, Georgia

A Science And Creativity Day Camp Where Imaginations Run Wild!

Give your child a fun-filled chance to be creative at Camp Invention, an exciting one week camp for girls and boys entering grades 2-6.  
Every day campers rotate through five hands-on activities that mix science, math, history and the arts with lots of fun. For example, they take apart old appliances, using the parts to create new inventions; they use creative problem solving to get off a mysterious planet; and they design an environmentally friendly city.
Led by educators, the camp is held at 20 schools in Gwinnett, Fayette, DeKalb, Fulton, Cherokee and Rockdale counties. A program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention's innovative curriculum has been featured in 20 national educational publications.

Smokerise Summer Day Camp

Ages 6-13 (4's and 5's accepted as siblings of older campers)

Activities are carefully selected, kid tested, constantly supervised with a low 1 to 6 ratio, and completely enjoyable. Activities include swimming, bowling, drama, museums, movies, arts & crafts, sports, six flags, white water, picnics, roller skating, parties, educational and recreational field trips and more. Optional camps presented by professional staff include cheerleading, drama and computer. Every day includes chapel, Summer Bridge academics, crafts, music, lessons, and recreation.

Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Extended care available from 7 am to 6:30 p.m.

High Meadows Summer Camp

Established in 1973 on 40 acres of farm and woodland in Roswell, High Meadows offers camper a traditional summer day camp experience focusing on personal improvement, environmental awareness, and non-competitive achievement.

Activities, offered at age-appropriate levels, include Animal Care, Arts & Crafts, Archery, Swimming (instructional and recreational), Sports, Canoeing, Native American Lore, Photography, Pony Rides, Ropes, Dance, Performing Arts, Nature, Pioneering, and Woodworking.

Children from kindergarten age - eighth grade participate in our full day program, Monday-Friday, 9:30 - 4:00.

Bus transportation is available from the north metro area.
A shortened day program (10:00 - 2:00) is available for 4 year olds entering preschool.

Because of the nature of our program and objectives, extended hours are not available.
Dates for summer 2005 are:
Session 1 - June 6-7 (2 weeks)
Session 2 - June 20 - July 8 (no camp July 4th)(3 weeks) Session 3 - July 11-29 (3 weeks)

Located at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell, GA, Camp Kingfisher is a summer day camp combining hands-on nature education programs with fun recreational activities.

Sally Ride Science Day Camp

June 13-17, 2005

This unique week-long camp provides an opportunity for girls to explore science, technology and engineering—all while having fun on a college campus.

  • For girls entering grades 6 through 9
  • A one-week day camp including one sleepover at the college’s Bradley Observatory
  • Girls learn about spacecraft as they build and launch a rocket
  • Campers explore the sky with their own telescopes
  • Girls experiment with different ways to take pictures of celestial objects
  • Leaders include experienced Atlanta-area science teachers and Agnes Scott science majors

Imagine It! Summer Camp

What would it be like to visit outer space? The rainforest? Prehistoric times? Imagine taking a trip inside the human body.

Campers at Imagine It! will choose a different destination each camp session.

Your four to eight-year old will travel with us as we explore a variety of destinations that will be created through unique and imaginative programming. Campers will be engaged in creative dramatics, movement, visual art and reading among other activities.

Astronomy

Children enhance their spatial and abstract thinking as they explore space travel, the sun, the moon, and planets. They participate in activities involving “virtual” trips through space to learn about the concepts of gravity and weightlessness.

Atlanta’s premier K-12 International School invites you to join campers of over twenty nationalities and learn a language in this immersion program taught by native speaking instructors. Each day is different as campers use their multiple intelligences and all parts of their brains to acquire new language skills by engaging in a variety of activities. These include sports, dance, drama, puppetry, art, music, cooking, science, puzzles, journaling, reflection, debate, crafts, nature study, and much more.

Each camper performs in the chosen language at the end of each session.
