Embrace a New York State of Mind – The Day after Thanksgiving

10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Family Fun from Noon to 5 p.m.)

Pack up your kids for a day trip to New York City. No need for plane tickets, just head to the High to check out Picasso to Warhol. You’ll get to peruse highlights of MoMA’s collection, make modern masterpieces to take home with you, and catch great performances by the talented teens from the band Already Taken. New York meets the High for family fun and fantastic art. Free with museum admission and free to members.



Make Mobiles!

WHEN:
November 26 and 27th
1 to 4 p.m.

We’re looking toward Alexander Calder and Henri Matisse for some fabulous inspiration. Create a paper cut mobile to hang for the holidays. Free with museum admission and free to members.



Family Holiday Happenings at the High

WHEN:
Monday, December 26th, 2011 through Saturday, December 31, 2011

Our gift to you this season is too big to fit into a box. We’re bringing 14 modern masters’ artwork to the High’s galleries for you to unwrap with your family. After exploring Picasso to Warhol, bring your modernly inspired folks to our drop-in screen-printing workshop December 27 through December 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. for an art making experience that is fun for everyone. No registration required. Free with museum admission. Free for members.
