Mother’s Day Tea at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve

WHEN: May 5 at 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.

Mother/Daughter/Granddaughter Luncheon

WHEN: May 12, 2012 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

The City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department and the Alpharetta Golden Age Club will host the Mother/Daughter/Granddaughter Luncheon on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Alpharetta Adult Activity Center at North Park.  Ladies of all ages are invited to join us and celebrate Mother’s Day with friends and family.  This event is free but pre-registration is required.  The luncheon begins at 11am and each participant is asked to bring a covered dish to share with others.  Meat will be provided.

Dunwoody Art  Festival 2012

WHEN: May 12 at 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. & May 13th at 12:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

A Mother’s Day tradition in the City of Dunwoody, the crowd-pleasing Dunwoody Art Festival will celebrate its third dazzling show. In its second season, Dunwoody Art Festival drew a remarkable crowd of more than 70,000 happy grandmothers, moms, children, and of course, lots of dads too! The picturesque stretch of Chamblee Dunwoody Road across from Dunwoody Village transforms into a whimsical artist market, and the normally traffic-lined street becomes a shoppers’ paradise. Along with the creative artist market, a fun-filled Kidz Zone awaits youngsters with great rides, sand art, imaginative crafts and games with the help from local favorite, the Purple Hippo Art Studio. A relaxing stage with continuous live music also offers festivalgoers a chance to unwind and relax before setting out again in search for that “gotta have it” piece of art. Dunwoody Art Festival also boasts a yummy food court with great eats from neighborhood restaurants, to that tasty funnel cake maker.
