Enjoy A Swim At These 3 Atlanta Area Lake Beaches

School is almost out, it’s going to get hot outside and the kids will need fun activities to keep them occupied.   What better way to spend a hot summer day than at one of Georgia’s many lake beaches. Robin Lake Beach at Callaway Gardens, Lake Lanier and Lake Allatoona Cauble Park/ Acworth Beach are all near Atlanta, GA and offer great activities for the entire family.

Robin Lake Beach at Callaway Gardens is a great place to take the kids for a day of fun.
Located in Callaway Gardens approximately 70 miles south in Pines Mountains, GA, this white sand beach stretches a mile around 65-acre Robin Lake. Although admission is charged to get access to the beach, there are plenty of beach activities offered with the price of admissions. These activities include: table tennis, miniature golf, shuffle board, a children’s playground and WiFi access. The kids will also get a kick out of FSU’s Flying High Circus, which is a traditional act that performs here during the summer. This performance is also included with the price of admission.spacer

Located approximately 44 miles north of Atlanta, GA you will find LanierWorld.
This beach and resort water park features everything from thrilling slides to a Kiddie Lagoon for the smaller children. The fun doesn’t stop at the water rides. Families can enjoy everything from live entertainment, to movies on the beach during the summer and a variety of dining options. Admission is also charged to gain access here. Families have the option of purchasing season passes or daily passes.

 

Acworth Beach is a popular, busy beach that’s located 33 miles north in Acworth, GA.
It’s open for swimming beginning in early June to Labor Day. The kids will love spending the day splashing around in the cool water, building sand castles and taking paddle boat rides. This 25-acre park not only features a beach, it also has a boardwalk, rental facilities, picnic areas, an open play area and two playgrounds. Please be aware, there are no lifeguards on duty at this location.

You are bound to create some wonderful, summertime memories by taking advantage of the lake beaches found around Georgia. As a word of caution, always supervise your children closely when in water, especially when when in natural bodies of water. More energy and skills are needed to swim in this type of environment. Have your child wear a personal flotation device as an added precaution.
