The King and Prince Beach Resort on St. Simons Island: About The Rooms, Amenities, and Fun!

I was recently invited to attend a press trip  that The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort on St. Simons Island sponsored, along with several other travel and food writers.  I had the most fabulous time and enjoy the island and resort more every time I visit.  The resort property is absolutely gorgeous and the island is one that you just have to experience.  From what I’ve learned, many people that visit St. Simons Island end up moving there.  Now if that’s not a testimate to how friendly and welcoming the people of St. Simons Island are, I don’t know what is.

In this post, the first of several I will write about this trip, I want to give you some insight into The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort’s rooms and amenities.  As a parent, I know how important it is to see what a room actually looks like before checking in to a hotel or resort.  Is there enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids?  Is there a mini-fridge? What is the view like?  How close will we be to local activities and shopping?  I hope to answer these questions and more in this series.  If you have any questions about The King and Prince Resort on St. Simons Island, please ask in the comments below.

The King and Prince Resort on St. Simons Island - Villa view

During my most recent stay at The King and Prince, I enjoyed room 303 in the Historic building.  The view was absolutely beautiful.   I had a large sliding glass door that opened to a straight-on ocean view and a large window looking out to the East from which I watched the most beautiful sunrises.

Oceanfront Building Rooms

Rooms in this building contain either a single king bed or two queen beds, as well as a sofa with a pullout bed. All of the rooms in this building feature a breathtaking floor-to-ceiling view of the Atlantic Ocean, which you can enjoy from the private patio or balcony. If the view isn’t enough, the flat screen LCD TV should keep your kids happy before bedtime.
