Shrimp & Grits Festival
Coming this weekend, September 20 – 22nd, is the eighth annual “Shrimp & Grits Festival” to be held on Jekyll Island. Join a lively group of visitors and locals alike as they rate the BEST shrimp & grits. Wander through the many vendors tents filled with handmade arts and crafts or attend the first Southern Living: Concert In The Round on the pier as well as the 2nd Annual Craft Beer Fest.

There is plenty of fun to be had and, when all is said and done, you’ll find yourself on beautiful Jekyll Island. Take a walk on the beach, watch the sunset from the river or relax at the Jekyll Club Hotel over a delicious four star dinner. This is guaranteed fun for the whole family, island style.
Food & Spirits Festival
In October we look forward to the second annual St. Simons Island Food & Spirits Festival at Gascoigne Bluff. The festival benefits the Hospice of the Golden Isles and runs October 1 – 6th. Several days of fine food and wine enjoyment is scheduled with cooking classes for kids as well as adults. The festival begins with The Pier Village Sip Taste & Tour and ends on the 6th with a SPIRITual Brunch at the fabulous King & Prince resort. You’ll be treated to libations and delicious food courtesy of guest chefs and mixologists. To liven the event there will be live music performed by a cast of soulful singers.

McGladrey Classic
And in November, you’ll find the McGladrey Classic in full swing, beginning on November 4th. Join the Davis Love Foundation and the PGA for this fourth annual golf tournament that just keeps growing.
