Six Flags Over Georgia Fright Fest – Thrills by Day, Frights by Night – Through Oct. 27th

Thanks to Six Flags Over Georgia, for making me a Six Flags Supermom and partnering with me for this compensated opportunity. All thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own.

Madmen, werewolves, ghosts and more have gathered here at Six Flags just for you. With drooling fangs, spidery legs, and gnashing teeth, each spooky creature is waiting and eager to give you the adventure (or scare) of your life. This Halloween season, come celebrate at Six Flags Over Georgia with your teenagers. This is the perfect event to create incredible family memories! I wouldn’t wait too long to schedule your visit though, the monsters clear out and the event ends October 27th. For your convenience, you will find details on some of the most popular attractions at Fright Fest this year; as well as a few fun family tips that you’ll want to keep in mind throughout your stay.

A friend of mine and I went to Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Georgia a few weeks ago and along with several other pairs of grown adults, we held hands all the way through Dr. Fright’s Frightorium.. and screamed.  There was a family behind us whose children were probably 5 and 8.  The kids handled the situation better than the parents.  At one point, the mom grabbed onto Desiree scaring the daylights out of her.

Dr. Fright’s Frightorium
Not many people would consider raising the dead to be a top priority; however, raising the dead is on top of the list for Dr. Fright. Come and visit his workstation to find out if he’s succeeded. Rumor has it that his failed experiments wonder the halls. Beware, Dr. Fright’s Frightorium is not for the weak of heart.
Terror Train
Have you ever wondered what visiting a ghost town would be like? Now you can find out. Terror Train takes you through the outskirts of “Bloodtown” as you listen to the tales and legends of what really happened by a mysterious conductor.
The Last Ride
You better make this attraction your final stop, because it’ll likely be the end anyway. Come and experience the terror of being buried alive, as Deborah, who’s life was claimed in the early 1900s, searches for a new victim to claim. Will it be yours?
Grouchy Griswold: Insult Comic
When you’ve had enough scare, or you just want to take a break in between attractions, come visit Grouchy Griswold. Grouchy has years of experience in front of large crowds and considers himself to be a professional comedian. His only problem…is you! Dubbed as a real “Insult Comic,” Grouchy does just that – insults. And he’s the best at what he does.

In Order to Get the Most Out of Your Adventure, Consider These Tips Provided by Six Flags Over Georgia:

1. Visit the park on nights when it is closed! You won’t be able to get in but we will have someone there to eat meet you. Come alone, and don’t tell anyone where you are going.

2. When arriving, note the location of the exits and other places that might be helpful when hiding from zombies, flying creatures and blood-sucking fiends. Look hard. One really good place to hide is the dark shed behind the food stand located closest to Guest Services. Just close your eyes and come on in. We’re waiting. It’s the safest place in the park! We promise.

3. Remember that weapons are not allowed on the Six Flags grounds, so leave the stakes, garlic, and holy water at home.

4. Practice your scream so that your loved ones can hear you.

5. And try not to get lost…

Ghoul-B-Gone Ring For Young Kids After 6pm

Fright Fest at Six Flags is going on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays now through October 27th.  At 6pm, Six Flags transitions from daytime thrills to nighttime frights.   Young kids can enjoy the park fright-free by wearing a ghoul-b-gone ring provided by Six Flags.  The ring instantly scares away all frightening ghouls roaming the park.

Atlanta Moms® Fright Fest Tip:

If your child gets scared by loud noises but enjoys the thrill of haunted houses, monsters and rides, bring earplugs for her.  Ear plugs are great when things get a little loud, such as inside Dr. Fright’s Frightorium.  That way your young ones can still enjoy seeing the ghouls but won’t get scared from the noises they make. 🙂
