“From the very beginning, we’ve always wanted learning to be an integral part of the game at the College Football Hall of Fame,” said John Stephenson, CEO and president of the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience. “We’re pleased that students and teachers are able to experience the science, history, rivalries and pageantry that have made college football one of the most beloved sports in America during their visit here and use the game as an educational resource.”
In addition to the historical artifacts and interactive, information-rich galleries, the Hall of Fame provides comprehensive Teacher’s Guides that are directly correlated to Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and English Language Arts, along with Next Generation Science Standards and the C3 Framework for Social Studies State Standards.
The Teacher’s Guides are specifically tailored for Grades 3-5 (Youth), 6-8 (JV) and 9-12 (Varsity), and each contains classroom lessons plans along with additional inquiry-based interdisciplinary activities and project ideas, such as ready-to-use worksheets with detailed instructions, football-themed games and puzzles, and recommended reading lists.
