My daughter LOVES Mo Willems’ books and illustrations. I could recite the words to Don’t Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late I’ve read it so many times. The books in Mo Willems Pigeon series are unlike any other in that they are utterly simple yet stir emotions and thinking in young kids. No child wants this adorable pigeon to have to go to bed, or share his hot dog or take a bath – even though he doesn’t want to.
The Seriously Silly! exhibition at High Museum of Art celebrates the career of Mo Willems, the author and illustrator known for his humorous and artful children’s books. A host of family activities across the Woodruff Arts Center campus, including theatrical productions based on Willems’s books produced by the Alliance Theatre, complement the exhibition.
