NMEDA QAP Provides Quality Transportation and Mobility Solutions

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

What would you do if you couldn’t just jump in the car and go?  Or tell your kids to hop in the car and let’s go for ice cream?  People with disabilities can’t always just go where they want, when they want to. Sometimes they have to rely on someone to come and get them to take them to the store or their kids out for ice cream.

Transportation is the key to freedom and NMEDA is the key to quality transportation.

NMEDA stands for National Mobility Equipment Dealer Association. NMEDA is a non-profit trade association of mobility equipment dealers, manufacturers, driver rehabilitation specialists and other professionals dedicated to expanding opportunities for people with disabilities to drive or be transported in vehicles modified with mobility equipment. All members work together to improve transportation options of people with disabilities.

Also, All NMEDA QAP dealers offer 24 hour local emergency assistance, on-site sales and support, and they offer in-person individual evaluations. If you choose to buy a vehicle online on through a non NMEDA dealer, you probably will not receive the same service. You can visit a NMEDA QAP (Quality Assurance Program) Dealer for mobility solutions for more infomation.

Quality Assurance Program, or QAP, is a recognized accreditation program for the mobility equipment industry. The program was developed to promote quality, safety, and reliability within the industry. There are now states that require a dealer’s participation in the QAP to perform work for the Vocational Rehabilitation Programs. QAP is the only program of this nature developed for the mobility equipment industry. A QAP designation enhances vehicle modification and mobility equipment installation in a manner consistent with the highest guidelines available in the industry.

NMEDA promotes and supports individual members engaged in the modification of quality transportation for people with disabilities. Membership has grown to more than 600 members and the bulk of those memberships are located within the United States and Canada. Members are required to adhere to the safety standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and to follow the guidelines set by NMEDA.
