What is Kiwi Crate?
Kiwi Crate is a service that delivers a new box to your door that includes all the materials and inspiration for 2-3 activities – art, science, games, imaginative play, and more. Once you choose a monthly Kiwi Crate subscription, your child will receive a new, uniquely themed (gardening, dinosaurs, space, water, and flight, etc..) box every month!
Our Kiwi Crate Experience
My daughter, Madelyn, loves that she can decorate the box that the crafts come in and she had a great time making the crafts.
The Kiwi Crate she received for review included a ‘my starlight lantern’ and ‘my collection box’ craft and she’s been playing with the collection box since she made it a couple of hours ago. She went outside and collected grass and flowers to put inside it then she emptied it and put lip gloss and erasers in it. The collection box can also be used as a scavenger hunt box using the included scavenger hunt sheets. Just place one of the sheets that has pre-printed scavenger hunt items on it, into the box then place the cardboard dividers over the sheet and you’ve got an awesome scavenger hunt box! She’s looking forward to night time when she’ll be able to really see how the lantern works.
The only supply we needed for her crafts was tape which she used to secure the colored sheets to the lantern. Everything else, including a star punch that she will use many many times, was included in the box.Most kids play with the packaging of a new toy before playing with the actual toy, and sometimes, even more than they end up playing with the new toy, right? Kiwi Crate provides kids with even more ‘packaging fun’ by making their signature green box that the crafts are delivered in fun too! Kids can color, decorate, then use the box for storing craft supplies.
The only thing Madelyn suggested is that they include more than 4 colors in the crayon box. She couldn’t think of anything that she didn’t like about the box; neither could I.
