Attracting nearly 300,000 people from throughout metro Atlanta, North Georgia and surrounding states, the Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair is the largest fair in metro Atlanta and the second largest in Georgia.

The Georgia Lottery Concert Series for the 2013 Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair under the covered arena includes:

  • Phillips, Craig and Dean on Friday, September 20 at 8 p.m.
  • Lauren Alaina on Saturday, September 21 at 8 p.m.
  • Lee Brice on Wednesday, September 25 at 8 p.m.
  • Loretta Lynn on Thursday, September 26 at 8 p.m.
  • Colt Ford on Friday, September 27 at 8 p.m.
  • Jerrod Niemann on Saturday, September 28 at 8 p.m.

New ride for 2013:

Georgia Mountain Lift – The longest lift in Georgia, spanning more than 2,000 feet, is the newest ride at the Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair. Patrons can ride from one end of the fairgrounds to the other as more than 130 cars take you above all the action of the fair and the James H. Drew Carnival Midway.

New Live shows that are free with paid admission include:

Sea Lion Splash! – You’ll laugh and stare in amazement as these unique creatures balance balls, catch rings, do handstands and perform gymnastics tricks! This is the only traveling, self-contained sea lion show in the country! When the sea lions are not performing their hilarious and educational show, they will be on display so that everyone can view them as they swim and play in their natural habitat.

The Tiger Encounter with Teen Tiger Mom, Felicia Frisco – “Teen Tiger Mom” made headlines for sharing her bed with her tiger. At 19 years old, the 9th Generation animal trainer is the youngest female tiger trainer in the United States. See her present her five Bengal tigers in “The Tiger Encounter.” This show is dedicated to the education and preservation of tigers, by educating people on the plight of the tiger, as well as entertaining them by a series of natural behaviors, and showing the bond between tiger and trainer by training with positive reinforcement.

Rowdy Rooster Puppet Show – This hilarious show features Rowdy Rooster and his best friend, the mischievous Diesel the Weasel. This uplifting barnyard kid’s adventure will make you want to join in the fun shouting out what they should do next. Also catch Rowdy Rooster driving around the fairgrounds in his hot rod roadster.

All-time favorite shows and attractions back again this year:

Horses, Horses, Horses! –Lisa Dufresne will delight and entertain the entire family. She has taken her life-long love and passion for animals and transformed it into a stunning show of animal mastery. She is traveling with three horses and nine American miniatures. Her horses perform five acts, including a comedy show.

Brian Ruth “Master of the Chainsaw” will be back to transform raw logs into true works of art with only a chainsaw.

Oscar the Robot, the entertaining roaming robot with razor wit and famous stroller races will also be returning to the fair this year.

Wit Carson’s Petting Zoo and the fair petting barn at the south entrance of the fairgrounds provide a fun and educational experience for children and adults alike.

Some of the animals that will be on hand include bison, zebra, cows, rabbits, llamas and much more! Pony rides also will be offered.

Other long-time traditions will continue, including sanctioned flower shows, non-commercial exhibits, and more than 40 amusement rides and games courtesy of the Great James H. Drew Exposition.

Advance tickets can be purchased for $5.00 for adults, and $11.00 for a book of 21 ride tickets – which is 50% off. There is a $1.00 fee for postage and handling. Advance tickets go on sale Monday, July 1, 2013.

Regular tickets can be purchased at the gate at $7.00 for adults, with children 10 and under free. Ride tickets are $1.25 each, $20.00 for 21 tickets, $50.00 for 55 tickets and 120 tickets for $100. Parking is $3.00. ATM machines are located on the midway.

Discount tickets will be available at all Metro Atlanta Walgreens beginning August 19 – September 20. Adult $3.50, 21 Ride Tickets $11.00.

  • $18.00 Pay-One-Price Ride Special – on Thursday (opening day) 9/19; Tuesday, 9/24 & Wednesday, 9/25
  • $25.00 Pay-One-Price Ride Special – on Saturdays, 9/21 and 9/28 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (good till close).
