Brain Juice Bounce + STEM is an active, creative, and a holistic program that encompasses the objective of educating the mind, the body, and the heart of its students. This approach to learning is divided into four phases:
THE MIND, THE BODY, THE HEART, & LOTS OF FUN!
With this camp students spend half the day doing Brain Juice Bounce activities (see Language International for more details on the Bounce activities) and half the day exercising their mind STEM activities. In short, they spend the whole day having fun!
The following is a description of the STEM courses available, which are offered by digitechU.
MineCraft
– Intro to Minecraft Modding
Has your child ever muttered the sentence “Minecraft would be perfect if it just …”? In this course, students will learn how to modify the game to their hearts content. They will learn how to create and add their own blocks, weapons, food, and a great more! This class is disguised for learning!

Take what you learned in Intro to Minecraft and build upon programming basics.

Keep expanding on the knowledge learned in the intermediate Minecraft Modding.

– Minecraft World Design
Create the world of your dreams with this Minecraft class! In this game design course, students learn how to customize Minecraft to create their own game or world adventure map. They learn how to use resource packs. Students explore the creative side of game making, using the powerful engine behind the best-selling, open-world game. Students work in teams to create their own games and worlds inside of Minecraft.

Robotics/ Lego
– Beginner 3D Lego Robotics
Our Lego courses are designed with lots of interactive activities, logic building, and robotic programming; the Beginner’s 3D Lego Robotic class is no exception. In this class, students will utilize the LEGO® Education WEDO Set and Software to create robots. This class is great for children who are hands on and like working together in teams!

– Advanced 3D Lego Robotics
In this Lego course we kick interactive activities, logic building, and robotic programming up a notch. In this class, students will utilize the brand new LEGO® WeDo Set and Scratch Software. This combination merges the versatility of the LEGO building system, and intuitive drag-and-drop programming software, to create functional robots. This class is great for children who are hands on and like working together in team.

– Lego Animation
Lights! Camera! Action! Make your very own movie featuring Lego characters. Students will be responsible for working in teams to write the script, build the set, and film the movie.

Programming
– Blast Off Programming
One of the best things about being a kid is letting your imagination run wild; in this class, there is no shortage of that. Students will create their own animated spaceship game using Scratch©. This tool makes learning programming concepts fun and easy! Scratch is an award-winning programming tool developed by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

– Mobile Game Design for iPhone/Android
What if you could design and build a game to play on your Apple® iPhone® or Android™ device? You can! With Stencyl and its user-friendly toolset, you’ll be able to build electrifying arcade-style video games. Note: If you’d like us to try to download your game to your device, it must be officially supported and updated to the latest software version. digitechU is NOT responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen equipment.

– 3D Game Design with Unity
In this course, students will learn the full lifecycle of game development using the powerful Unity game engine. Students will learn the process of game creation, from prototyping to final testing. Along the way, they will learn valuable game design theory, studying and analyzing your favorite games to learn what makes them tick. At the end of the class, students will work in teams to make your very own game from the ground up!
