Create an Online Kids’ Magazine

- Dates: June 1, 2015 – June 5, 2015
- 9am-4pm
Use your talents to bring an online magazine to life! This is your chance to become both writer and creative director for a whole week. Discover the ins and outs of publishing as you design a magazine just for kids. Be a part of brainstorming sessions; learn how to create unique, engaging stories, and make integral decisions about the visual layout of your magazine all while working in a fun, interactive team environment. Your work will culminate in a one-time edition of a real online magazine. Join us; we have a deadline to meet!

KEC Double Feature

If you can’t decide between Create an Online Kids’ Magazine and Game On, now you don’t have to decide. Choose the KEC Double Feature! No, you’re not becoming a movie maker. The limited release KEC Double Feature combines both Create an Online Kids’ Magazine and Game On. For this weeklong, day program the excitement just doesn’t end. You’ll go from making and testing prototypes as a game designer to publishing a real online magazine for kids. Join us for an enriching summer experience you won’t soon forget.

Game On

- Dates: July 6, 2015 – July 10, 2015
- 9am-4pm
Do you love to play games? Of course you do, who doesn’t? Put your creativity skills to use by becoming a game designer. In order to create your own fun, challenging game, you’ll first need to figure out what makes a game good. So, we’ll start the week by playing all sorts of games. You’ll have fun all while you figure out the attributes of a good game. Working with a team of other young game designers, you will make and test prototypes. Your ingenuity will come to life in a brand new game you helped create. Join us for fun, new friends, and a little friendly competition.
