Atlanta locals and visitors can’t get enough of Snow Mountain, so Georgia’s most visited attraction is planning an extended opening into March.
Stone Mountain Park today announced that, thanks to popular demand, the park will extend the 2016 Snow Mountain season by one weekend, now operating March 5-6. Snow Mountain’s earliest session begins at 9 a.m. both additional days, with tubing action available until 5 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday.
Snow Mountain delights families with the region’s only snow park. Situated on what is commonly known as the “Laser Lawn,” Snow Mountain features tubing runs—including the Avalanche Alley family tube ride and the Snow Zone area where younger kids can tube, build the ultimate snowmen, create snow angels or throw snowballs at the snowball shooting gallery.
After playing in the snow, visitors may warm up at the crackling bonfires, roast marshmallows and enjoy s’mores. Snow Mountain sessions are timed and often sell out in advance, so advance online reservations are highly recommended.
