Come celebrate the seasons at the Chattahoochee Nature Center! This year will be better then the last! We will have over 40 local vendors on hand selling their hand crafted or eco-friendly goods to make your holiday gift giving special. Plus explore the Wildlife Walk, Explore Your Watershed Gallery, Nature Exchange, River Boardwalk Trail, Forest Trails, Nature Store and more!
Pee-Wee Naturalist Winter Series – Ages 3 – 4
When: Tuesdays: December 13, January 10, and February 7, 9:45 – 11:00 AM, $50 Non-Members/$35 Members (price for 3-part series per child, adult helper required and admitted free)
Looking for something different to do this winter and not be cooped up at home? Then head out to CNC! This winter we will have fun learning about Giving Back – Gifts for Nature, Animal Stories with Mother Nature, and Growing Tall! You and your budding naturalist will have fun playing games, singing songs, making fun nature art and visit with CNC’s wildlife up close! Reindeer Day!
When: December 18, 1 – 4PM, All Ages, Included with General Admission to CNC
Take some time out during the holiday rush to spend time with family, friends, and nature! We have an entire day planned for you to relax and enjoy the season.
- Live Reindeer: 1 – 4pm
Meet live reindeer during a special holiday appearance at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Don’t forget your camera!
- Oh Deer!: 3pm
While visiting the reindeer, stop in for a storytime reading of Stranger in the Woods. Kids will love hearing the story of a deer meeting a new friend and getting a favorite treat.
- Magic Reindeer “Food”: 12 – 4pm
Will the reindeer visit your house this winter? Make some magic reindeer “food” in the Nature Exchange to attract some magic reindeer.
- Nature Crafts: 1 – 3pm
Make some gifts for nature while you are at CNC!
