Callaway Gardens Celebrate Spring

If you are looking for a fun way to celebrate the warmth and sunshine of spring after a cold, dreary winter, you should consider taking your family to Callaway Gardens to enjoy the beauty and peace of nature during springtime. Callaway Gardens is celebrating spring with five full weekends of fun springtime events that are sure to be a great time for your family.

The first fun springtime weekend at Callaway Gardens is the “Gardening in the Gardens” event, with an annual plant fair and sale and the Callaway Gardening School, allowing your family to learn more about gardening. The “Flavors of the Garden” weekend includes lessons on vegetable gardening, a spring farmer’s market, product tasting and face painting for the kids.

If you don’t have plans for Easter weekend, celebrate it in Callaway Gardens at the “Renewal in the Gardens” event, which is sure to be a great time for the entire family. Photos with the Easter bunny, an Easter egg hunt, an Easter sunrise service and several other family activities will be going on for the entire weekend. If you and your family enjoy music, you should know that the “Sounds of the Gardens” weekend will include a performance by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The final weekend of the “Celebrate Spring” event will go out with a bang with the “Colors of the Gardens” event, complete with an art show and sale, photography and Spring watercolor workshops and sidewalk chalk art that your children are sure to enjoy.

If these fun and educational springtime events aren’t enough to thrill your family, challenge your entire family to complete the TreeTop Adventure, a zipline course that takes you over 30 feet above the forest floor. The TreeTop Adventure is enough to please even the most courageous daredevils in your group!

For a fun family adventure that is sure to leave everyone satisfied, Callaway Gardens is a beautiful, peaceful way to enjoy nature and time with the family. Open since 1952, Callaway Gardens is located in the foothills of the Appalachians in Georgia. Rather you are right down the street or halfway across the country, the memories you will make at Callaway Gardens are well worth the trip.
