Relationships can be challenging, even more so when your children take up the majority of your day. Parents who have been in this situation understand how difficult it is to keep the romance alive, but difficult does not mean impossible. During my recent stay at Renaissance Atlanta Midtown, I spent one fabulous night alone with my husband and one with my daughter.  A night alone with my husband is something that happens very rarely so needless to say, we were excited about our stay.  We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at Briza at the hotel.  Our server paired several fantastic wines with our dinner courses, making for an exceptional dining experience.  The pancakes in the photo below were what I had for breakfast.. and they were the most delicious pancakes I’ve had in a restaurant.  Ever.

I was very proud of my daughter for sleeping in an adjoining room, with the adjoining door open of course.  She felt like a big girl.  Always keep the option of getting two rooms open when staying at a hotel, parents!  You don’t have to settle for two queen beds and cram the entire family in one room.  🙂
