Meet Spot – Adopt a Dog with Forgotten Paws

(Blog Post written by the volunteers of Forgotten Paws.)

Spot is such an amazing dog and it is unbelievable that he still needs his forever home! He is super sweet and would be the best “best friend” ever.

About Spot..

He is 9 months old, (born June 3, 2014) an weighs in at  50 lbs.  He needs lots of exercise to get a few extra pounds off of him.  He is a Treeing Walker Coonhound, Beagle and Shepherd mix.  His mom is a little 32 lb black and tan dog, dad was obviously the TWC. Spot is housebroken and crate trained. He is good with dogs, kids and maybe cats. He hasn’t been around cats so a little training would be needed, but he is not aggressive towards small animals.

Spot was always the most outgoing puppy in the litter and the one that no one has ever shown any interest in adoption. When he was a tiny puppy, all the other puppies would be napping and he would take that opportunity to crawl all over me and get lots of mommy love and play time. He was so full of personality. He still has the same happy go lucky personality now just honed into an adult size dog.Spot loves to play. He romps and rolls and plays chase with his remaining brother. He listens well. He comes when called, goes in his crate on command and sits for treats. He would be wonderful going for walks or hikes and it would do his waist line good too. He has no problems eating anything given to him.
