Get a taste of Appalachian mountain culture in Asheville, N.C., at the weekly Shindig on the Green concerts running July 1 through September 2, every Saturday night from 7-10 p.m. The free event, held at downtown’s Pack Square Park, features musicians and dancers from clogging to Bluegrass from across Western North Carolina. In addition to scheduled performances, there are informal “jam sessions” held throughout the night.
