STARLAB
Sunday, February 12; 1 – 2PM (Two, 25-minute sessions); Ages 5 - adult
Come see the best and brightest! Take a naturalist-lead journey through the night sky in STARLAB, our portable planetarium. Find out what constellations, planets and stars can be seen this winter. While you are here, learn about the GLOBE at night program. The GLOBE at Night program is an international citizen-science campaign to raise public awareness of the impact of light pollution by inviting citizen-scientists to measure their night sky brightness and submit their observations to a website from a computer or smart phone. Included with General Admission to CNC.
Dave Holland- Drumming up the Stories
February 18, 11AM & 12PM, All Ages
Take part in this fun-filled, percussion-loaded learning extravaganza as Dave sings, drums and narrates his way through an array of world folktales. It’s definitely a program that will get you on your feet. Dave is one of our favorite’s here at CNC and we know that we will have lots of visitors so plan on arriving in time to get a good seat. Included with General Admission to CNC.
Truffula Forest in the Nature Exchange
February 28 - March 11
A Truffula Tree forest is about to spring up in the Nature Exchange. Just in time for the release of the new feature film The Lorax, visit this beloved Dr. Seuss character, try on a Thneed and learn how you can speak for the trees. Exhibit made possible in part by the Ann Jackson Gallery. Included with General Admission to CNC.
