Date night is for adults looking to get away for the evening, relax and learn a thing or two about the river and its surroundings. Participants are invited to arrive early on the grounds and stay a bit later to enjoy the grounds and trails of the Nature Center. Bring a picnic dinner with a bottle of wine to enjoy before or after your trip. This is the perfect setting for a first date, celebrating a special anniversary or just to catch up with a close friend. Participants may arrive as early as 4:30 PM to enjoy the grounds. Discovery Center is open till 5 PM. Canoe program will begin at 6, meeting in front of the Discovery Center. Canoe trip will end approximately at 8:30 and participants are invited to relax on the grounds till 9:30 PM.
This is a fantastic way to unwind from the daily hustle and bustle of suburban life or entertain family and friends. Each trip is led by a CNC naturalist and offers a unique introduction to the ecology of the Chattahoochee River.
