Can you believe the high the next few days will be 104º – 106º the next few days?
It’s very important that we stay hydrated and protected from the sun during such hot days.
Here are a few tips to get you through the next few days of heat in Atlanta:
- Drink a lot of water
- Apply sunscreen several times a day if you are going to be outdoors and at least once if you are just outdoors for short periods of time, even in the car.
- Skip the parks this weekend.
- Keep up with the weather and air alerts on WSBTV.com.
Indoor Activities:
- Print free coloring sheets for your younger kids to keep them occupied indoors. The Crayola website has a lot of great coloring pages you can print.
- Check out what’s going on at local book stores, libraries, and theaters, in your neck of the woods on our Events Calendar.
- Take the kids to LEGOLAND Discovery Center at Phipps Plaza.
Cool off with these ideas:
- Treat the kids to a Cherry Berry Chiller from McDonald’s
- If you really want to be out in the sun, enjoy the beach at Callaway Gardens. They are currently running a $99 Summer Beach Trip special so check it out now to get a great deal!
- Beat The Heat At These Atlanta Area Public Swimming Pools
