NASA Evening with an Astronaut TONIGHT, April 18th, at Fernbank Science Center

This evening, NASA is hosting Evening with an Astronaut: Experiences in Orbit – an exclusive astronaut presentation and planetarium show at Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta.

NASA astronaut, Tracy Caldwell Dyson, will share her experiences as a Mission Specialist on Space Shuttle Endeavour flight STS-118 and part of the Expedition 24 crew on the International Space Station. She will also share the importance of human space exploration and its impacts on everyday life in a presentation that includes photos, videos, and a live audience Q&A session.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Caldwell Dyson in addition to viewing the “Saturn – The Ring World” planetarium show.

Caldwell Dyson is also a private pilot, conversational in American Sign Language (ASL) and Russian, and the lead vocalist for the all-astronaut band Max Q.

Admissions to the science center and astronaut events are free; planetarium show costs range from $5 – $7 per person.
