Camp Kingfisher Winter Break Camp Registration Has Begun For Atlanta Families!

My kids love going to Camp Kingfisher at Chattahoochee Nature Center every year and it’s no surprise that when they saw our monthly newsletter arrive mentioning Winter Break Camp registration, they both asked if they could go.  We are 80% sure we’re going to be out of town during Camp Kingfisher’s Winter camp sessions this year but if your family is going to be in town, Camp Kingfisher is one that you should enroll your child in ASAP.

Camp Kingfisher Winter Break Camp at Chattahoochee Nature Center

3 and 4 day Winter Break Camp experiences at Chattahoochee Nature Center are packed FULL of live animal encounters, outdoor games, educational hikes, HOT chocolate breaks, and COOL hands-on science activities. Explore fun daily themes like “Burrowing Bugs & Loosing Leaves” or “Our Place in Space.” One highlight every year is the Starlab, a mini-observatory perfectly suited for the changing seasons. The time inside the Starlab feels like a night under the stars in the mountains. FREE extended care included from 8-9am and 4-6:15pm each day except December 24 and 31.

Winter Break Camp Session Dates:

Session 1: December 22-24 with December 26 add-on

Session 2: December 29-31 with January 2 add-on

Seasonal camp age groups:
  • Eastern Screech Owl (ESO): Current Kindergarten and 1st Grade
  • Barn Owls (BNO): Current 2nd and 3rd Grade
  • Barred Owls (BDO): Current 4th and 5th Grade
  • Great Horned Owls (GHO): Current 6th and 7th Grade

Then, fill out a 2014-2015 Winter Break Camp Registration Form and return it to the camp office via campforms@chattnaturecenter.org, fax (770) 552-0926, or mail (9135 Willeo Road, Roswell, GA 30075).
